What you will do:

Ensure
adherence to quality control within the shop
·
Coach
and aid technicians in diagnosing repairs
·
Make
sure technicians are scheduled for and in attendance at all training.
·
Make
sure all tech Guild and C.P.T. exams are completed
·
Assist
technician in contacting T.A.C. using computer aided system to expedite
repairs.
·
Road
test vehicles to verify complaint / repair.
·
Make
sure all equipment and tools are readily available and in safe working order.
·
Report
any staff insubordination to Assistant Service Director.
·
Evaluate
skills of apprentices / technicians to ensure appropriate jobs are being
assigned to capable technicians.
·
Be
able to administer straight time for technicians when he/she sees fit.
·
Have
good working knowledge of all G.M. policies and procedures as it pertains to
warranty.
·
Achieve
and maintain a high level of technician training.
·
Help
head shop foreman set and achieve performance goals for the shop ie (hours
produced per day, tech, bay etc.)
·
Make
sure technicians and apprentices are current with any training required to
obtain campaign information, bulletins, tech tips etc. to enable them to
perform repairs with maximum efficiency.

Ensure
staff are fully trained on all health and safety training.
